Brno Regional Chamber of Commerce is an independent legal entity within the network of the Czech Chamber of Commerce.
It is registered in the Commercial Register. It was established under Act No. 301/1992, on the Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture.
It works to support entrepreneurial activities and to promote and protect the interests of its members.
RCC Brno provides services in the following areas:
- support for international trade
- education
- consulting
- CzechPoint services
- renting our space to member companies
Important historical dates
- The Chamber of Commerce and Trade in Brno was established under Act No. 122 in 1850.
- The activities of Brno’s original chamber ceased on January 1st, 1949; at that time it owned 7 properties in Brno, 4 of which remain state-owned.
- On October 9, 1990, the chamber’s activities in Brno were restored with the opening of the regional offices of the Czechoslovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Brno.
- On January 29, 1993, a constituent General Meeting was held in Brno to set up a separate Chamber of Commerce; in 2008, the chamber attained its largest number of members - 703.
The Chamber is headed by its 19-member Board, and its activities are monitored by the Supervisory Board.
